VIRTUALIZATION SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR Own your opportunity to support national defense. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Administer, maintain, and optimize virtualized server environments including VMware, Hyper‑V, and related hypervisor technologies. Operate and maintain vCenter systems, including certificate lifecycle management, password oversight, and baseline updates. Build, maintain, and troubleshoot virtual machines (Windows and Linux) to support mission applications and infrastructure services. Monitor compute resource health, availability, and utilization; identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements. Maintain configuration baselines for virtual hosts, hypervisors, VM templates, firmware, and golden images. Maintain ATO compliance by supporting documentation, control implementation, and updates to system security baseline. Perform timely patching of hypervisors, virtual appliances, guest operating systems, and associated tools. Build and maintain virtual machine templates, configuration profiles, and provisioning workflows to support consistent deployments. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: 4+ years in related IT infrastructure roles; Senior level requires a bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field or 8+ years of relevant experience; Principal level requires a bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of relevant experience. Certification: Meeting DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE). Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph. Hands‑on experience administering enterprise‑scale virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V). Experience with Windows and Linux server administration in virtualized environments. Strong background in patch management, vulnerability remediation, STIG compliance, and secure configurations. Experience supporting clustered environments, vCenter operations, and hypervisor lifecycle management. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. US citizenship required. Location: Onsite. Salary Range Likely salary range: $96,569 – $130,651. Salary will be based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
