The company develops Specs, advanced eyewear that seamlessly integrates digital experiences into the physical world.Specs feature see-through lenses that place digital objects directly into three-dimensional space, powered by Snap OS, a proprietary, context-aware operating system designed for natural interaction with your hands and voice.Specs Inc. also provides Lens Studio, a full suite of advanced developer tools that powers immersive augmented reality experiences across Specs, Snapchat, and other services.We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Spectacles team at Snap Inc!What you’ll do:Own schematic design, circuit review, stackup definition and layout review for PCB, Flex and Rigid Flex designsTest and validate electrical designsWork with senior engineers to debug hardware issues, including power quality, high-speed signal integrity, low speed interface performance, and coexistenceAnalyze circuits over process, variability and temperatureDevelop electronic prototypes for new product conceptsCollaborate with RF, Product Design, Firmware, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire development process from design to failure analysisTravel internationally up to 20% to support development builds onsite at external suppliers and partnersKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong electrical engineering fundamentals Experience in electronic design, including component selection and schematic designFamiliarity with low power/battery operated designsGreat interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across groupsExperience with lab equipment, oscilloscopes, battery simulators, dmms, vector network analyzersMinimum Qualifications: BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent years of experience1+ years of relevant experience in electrical or hardware engineeringPreferred Qualifications:MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.Experience developing consumer electronic devicesExperience with vendor communicationExperience with Cadence Orcad and AllegroIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
