Limited Radiological Technician/ Medical Assistant

Job Summary A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN. A medical assistant assists in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting. A limited Radiological Technician performs radiologic examinations on patients of all ages and provides the radiologist with finished exams for interpretation. Minimum Qualifications Education: See License and Certification Experience: Urgent care experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping. Ability to perform diagnostic radiology exams. License/Certifications: Must hold and maintain current certifications from the ARRT, CRT for a limited practice technician permit. Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA). Equipment: EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet, computer, copy machine, fax machine, scanner, RIS, HIS, PACS, and stationary radiographic equipment. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job. Pay Range $22.00 - $33.42 (The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.
