For all employees, alteration to any area of the body visible in any authorized uniform or civilian attire (while at work) that is distracting, inconsistent with a professional appearance or noticeably distorts normal anatomical features and that is not medically required, nor a reasonable elective cosmetic surgery performed by a licensed physician, is prohibited.Gauging:Gauging or gradually increasing the radius of an induced opening in the flesh in areas such as the earlobes, lips, cheeks, etc. No holes larger than allowed to fit a stud style earring in an allowed area.An applicant may be removed at any point during the hiring process. If an applicant is removed from the process, they may reapply after six months unless they are removed for a permanent disqualifier. If an applicant is removed from the hiring process for a permanent disqualifier, the applicant will be notified of the permanent disqualifier and may not reapply at any time.Under direct supervision and on an assigned shift, responsible for enforcing rules and regulations, preventing escapes, maintaining order and discipline among inmates, and for escorting inmates to and from their cells.Examples of Work to be Performed:MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT INCLUDING DAYS, EVENINGS AND MID-NIGHTS. (Shifts are typically eight (8) hours with actual hours being established by operational necessity) MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.MUST BE ABLE TO WORK PAST NORMAL ASSIGNED SHIFTWILL BE SUBJECT TO CALL-BACKControl inmates from stations or by patrolling in yards, grounds, cell houses, corridors, and work areasEscort individuals or groups of inmates to work or other activitiesKeep continued count of inmates assignedInspect cells, grounds, work locations, and other facilities for unauthorized objects or materialsCheck on sanitary conditions, fire and safety hazardsEnforce rules of conduct, security, and labor standards by making verbal or written reports of significant violations as irregularities to supervisorsAssists in averting riots and escapes undertaken by prisonersMay assist in the supervision of inmates on transfer to other correctional facilities or on appearances in courtAccompany prisoners being transferred for psychiatric diagnosis or to treatment clinics.
