Community Connector & Outreach Coordinator

HEAL (Health Education Access League) is an international youth-led nonprofit dedicated to making health education accessible, understandable, and actionable for teens. Our mission is to improve health literacy, combat misinformation, and empower young people to better understand and advocate for their health.

We are seeking outgoing, motivated student volunteers to join HEAL as Community Connectors & Outreach Coordinators. Individuals in this role will help expand HEAL’s reach by building meaningful relationships with schools, student organizations, nonprofits, healthcare professionals, and community partners.

Community Connectors play a key role in translating HEAL’s mission into real-world impact by fostering collaborations, increasing engagement, and identifying opportunities for outreach and growth.

Responsibilities

Community Connectors & Outreach Coordinators may contribute in one or more of the following areas:

• Conduct outreach to schools, student organizations, nonprofits, and healthcare-related groups
• Build and maintain relationships with potential partners and collaborators
• Identify opportunities for workshops, presentations, campaigns, and community initiatives
• Support recruitment efforts and help grow HEAL’s volunteer network
• Coordinate outreach communications, follow-ups, and partnership tracking
• Assist with planning collaborative events and engagement initiatives
• Represent HEAL in external communications and community-facing interactions

Team members help strengthen HEAL’s network and expand access to health education across diverse communities.

Qualifications

We are looking for applicants who are:

• Passionate about community engagement, advocacy, public health, or education
• Strong communicators who feel comfortable reaching out to new people and organizations
• Organized and capable of managing outreach efforts and follow-ups
• Proactive, reliable, and comfortable taking initiative
• Collaborative team players with strong interpersonal skills

Prior outreach or leadership experience is helpful but not required. Students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Time Commitment

• Monthly team meetings
• Flexible remote collaboration with project-based deadlines
