Coding And Data Quality Supervisor Duties

Supervises the day-to-day operations of Coding and Data Quality, including setting performance standards, and implementing EEO policies and procedures.

Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, to include establishment of priorities and preparation of schedules for completion of work.

Audits coded disease and injury diagnoses, acuity of care, and procedures in a wide range of ambulatory, inpatient and outpatient settings and specialties.

Conducts monthly coding audits for the command's Data Quality Management Control Program, utilizing established DQ guidelines.

Analyzes effectiveness of the DRG program and implements changes as needed. Assures policy is followed and that updates to regulations relating to the DRG program are instituted.

Conducts regular training with all medical staff members to ensure that each provider understands, follows, and is in compliance with all coding guidelines.
