Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Technician

Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Technician to support food safety and quality programs within our food manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for monitoring production processes, verifying food safety standards, conducting inspections, collecting samples, and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and sanitation requirements.

The ideal candidate has previous food manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-operational facility inspections and production area setup
• Distribute temperature logs and thermometers to designated production areas
• Conduct daily inspections and verification of:
• Cooler and room temperatures
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Operational controls
• Sanitation water preparation
• Perform random quality checks on fresh and dry ingredients in storage areas
• Inspect products during production for:
• Size and weight
• Appearance and flavor
• Packaging materials
• Label accuracy
• Identify and report any quality or food safety deviations
• Collect and maintain product samples
• Monitor and record Critical Control Point (CCP) temperatures, including cooling temperatures and second-shift CCPs
• Compile and submit quality documentation from both shifts
• Organize and file completed quality records and logs

Weekly Responsibilities:

• Conduct master cleaning and sanitation verification inspections

Monthly Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental monitoring and Listeria program testing
• Calibrate scales, thermometers, and other quality monitoring equipment

Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or Food Manufacturing
• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and CCP monitoring
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperatures, including coolers and production environments

Preferred:

• HACCP Certification and/or Food Safety Certification
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Korean
• Knowledge of Korean food products and manufacturing processes
