The DSP plays a vital role in supporting individuals by assisting with daily living, safety, emotional support, and overall wellness needs in a community-based setting.At SHCMHC, we are proud to serve our communities as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), providing comprehensive behavioral health services and support regardless of ability to pay.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist consumers with daily living and support needsPromote safety, independence, and overall well-beingProvide emotional and social support in a professional mannerMaintain communication with supervisors and team membersUtilize approved verbal and physical interventions when necessarySupport consumers in community-based environments and activitiesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to physically assist consumers as neededAbility to respond appropriately in behavioral intervention situationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsReliable communication device preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
