Role Overview

The Associate Business Development Manager plays a key role in the development and sale of capital equipment for Dornier MedTech, working with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, VA and DOD facilities, physicians, and other providers. In this role, you will build relationships with prospective customers, support capital equipment purchasing decisions from lead through contract, and collaborate closely with Dornier's Territory Managers, Associate Managers, and Service Managers across your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up customer visits to observe capital equipment in use and discuss equipment features and benefits.
2. Quote pricing and financing options and coordinate with operations to help prepare sales contracts.
3. Collaborate daily and weekly with Dornier Territory Managers, Associate Managers, and Service Managers.
4. Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with prospective customers on capital budget timelines, project status, room measurements, and related updates.
5. Build lists of prospective customers as sales leads from cold calling, telemarketing leads, trade show responses, business directories, and other sources.
6. Communicate effectively by phone and email, daily, with contacts at hospitals, physician offices, ambulatory surgery centers, VA facilities, and DOD facilities.
7. Communicate effectively by phone and email, daily, with colleagues across the organization.
8. Prepare reports on business transactions and maintain an up-to-date expense account.
9. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, including maintaining Salesforce activities and opportunities.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Business Development Manager.

Qualifications

Experience and Travel

1. Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university preferred, ideally in business, marketing, communications, or life sciences.
2. 5 to 7 years of outside B2B sales experience.
3. 1 to 3 years of medical device or capital equipment sales experience preferred.
4. Frequent travel required (75 percent or more), typically 1 to 3 days per week, including overnight, out-of-town, and air travel; works from home when not traveling.
