Key Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within schools
• Ability to assist high school students in a resource room setting, supporting a variety of academic and behavioral needs
• Strong communication skills for working closely with teachers, students, and administrators
• Adaptable, patient, and proactive approach to problem-solving and student engagement
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in the resource room, reinforcing lesson content and helping with assignments
• Assist with classroom management and facilitate a positive, inclusive environment
• Communicate regularly with teachers and staff to align support with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Observe and record student progress, providing feedback to the educational team
• Support students in developing academic, social, and organizational skills essential for success
