Senior Software Engineer

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the DTI (Digital Technology and Innovation) line of business with strong software engineering fundamentals and experience working with modern AI technologies. This role focuses on designing and building next-generation digital solutions leveraging artificial intelligence capabilities, including large language models, intelligent automation, and agent-based architectures. The ideal candidate has hands-on development experience, exposure to AI/ML concepts, and a strong passion for learning new technologies, building prototypes, and delivering scalable production systems. This role requires collaboration, technical ownership, and the ability to contribute to innovative engineering initiatives. In this role, you will: Develop solutions in an agile/scrum development environment Participate in code reviews, planning and estimation meetings Develop high-performing and scalable micro services Develop & deploy multi-agent workflows Participate in cross-discipline collaboration with team members including the product owners, designers, and testers Perform analysis and detailed solutions design for enterprise-grade applications Apply your excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills and foster a positive work environment Required Qualifications, US: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4+ years of Java experience 4+ years of J2EE experience 3+ years of Spring framework experience 2+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API) 1 year of experience working with AI/ML technologies such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, or Large Language Models (LLMs) 1 yr Hands-on experience to agent-based or AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar technologies Desired Qualifications: Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure) and containerization technologies Exposure to prompt engineering, model evaluation, or AI experimentation frameworks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to learn new technologies quickly 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies 2+years of Mongo DB experience 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both 3+ years of relational database experience Experience contributing to large-scale program architecture solutions Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience Experience with virtual assistant platforms Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native environments (OCP, Kubernetes, etc.). Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Prior experience in banking, fintech, or digital assistant platforms is an advantage. Locations : 2800 S.
