Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Grading Foreman to oversee daily field operations for heavy civil construction and earthwork projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on grading experience, and the ability to supervise crews, coordinate equipment and materials, maintain safety standards, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily grading, earthwork, and construction site activities.
• Ensure all workers follow safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
• Assign tasks, coordinate crews, and monitor daily work schedules.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and contractors to meet project deadlines.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, grading plans, and blueprints.
• Monitor work quality, productivity, project costs, and progress.
• Train, mentor, and support team members.
• Resolve job-site issues and communicate project updates to management.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience as a Grading Foreman in heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of grading, earthwork, site preparation, and construction equipment.
• Experience supervising construction crews and equipment operators.
• Ability to read and interpret grading plans and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or relevant trade certification preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
