Job Title: Supervisor - 110731 Location: USA - Winchester, 291 Park Center Drive Division: Solutions | Job Type: Full Time Position Summary The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor oversees the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities, plan and assure continuous improvement. Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues that affect the operations. Develop and maintain systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably. Implement cost savings measures and provide ideas and suggestions for more efficient operations. Meet all client specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create fair supervisory programs, counsel and discipline team members. Assist in building training and professional development programs; participate in performance evaluation system. Plan daily work schedule by reviewing work orders and customer instructions; assess priorities and assign duties. Review pending jobs or trends, plan warehouse space reorganization, adjust supplies, equipment or staffing. Train new staff or delegate training responsibility to experienced team members; assess progress. Stay informed of quantity and quality of jobs, provide guidance and advice. Assign supervisory duties to experienced team members as leads; keep manager advised of progress or problems. Hold regular meetings with staff to assess overall status; discuss improvement ideas. Assist in physical operations as needed; deliver results by leveraging team skills. Maintain high motivation and focus on customer satisfaction. Provide ongoing growth opportunities and conduct annual performance reviews. Support adherence to SOPs and train team members on SOPs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 3 years experience in logistics/distribution or related environment. 1 year experience in a supervisory role. Preferred: MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation. Certificates & Licenses Completion of forklift training program. Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). RF Scanners. WMS functions. Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal). Business communication. Mathematical Skills Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, counting inventory, etc. Other Skills & Work Conditions Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and personnel skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Good leadership, supervision and planning skills. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends. Participation in cross‑training and back‑up duties. Adapt to change and thrive in fast‑paced environment. Work overtime as required.
