This position is located onsite in Redondo Beach, CA.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Perform opto-mechanical engineering on multiple projects through all phases of development and manufacturingConduct technical specifications, conceptual designs, trade studies, detail designs, procedures, assembly, testing, and reportsAssist with technical data packages including fabrication, source control, and assembly drawings in accordance with internal drawing standardsPerform engineering analysis to validate design solutions with respect to technical performance, environmental durability, manufacturability, schedule and costSupport the on-time execution of development programs by proactively mitigating risks and pursuing opportunitiesAssist with internal design reviews, provide, and incorporate feedback from reviewers and managementEmploy strong interpersonal and communication skills while contributing to an integrated product teamDemonstrate accountability to obtain results and contribute to organizational objectivesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in STEM disciplineMust have active SCI access at the time of application or an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company, prior to the start dateExperience with electromechanical, opto-mechanical, or mechanisms designExperience with Creo, Solidworks, NX, or CATIA V5/3dExp industry CAD softwarePreferred Qualifications:M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM technical disciplineExperience with the design, development, analysis, and verification of opto-mechanical or mechanized or electro-mechanical productsProficiency with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)Experience working on Special Access ProgramsActive U.S. Government TS/SCI clearancePrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
