Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care / Hospital Kansas City, Missouri Research Medical Center Contract Duration: Feb 16, 2026 – May 18, 2026 (13 Weeks) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,908.80 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a hospital-based therapy team in Kansas City, MO. The SLP will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting . Facility & Work Setting Setting: Hospital / Acute Care Schedule: Monday–Friday Work Environment: Collaborative multidisciplinary team Key Responsibilities Evaluation & Assessment Assess patients for: Speech and language disorders Cognitive-communication deficits Swallowing/dysphagia issues Treatment & Therapy Develop and implement individualized therapy plans Provide: Speech and language therapy Cognitive therapy Dysphagia management Patient Care & Monitoring Monitor progress and adjust care plans Set functional and measurable goals Work with: Physicians Nurses Rehab team members Educate patients and families Documentation Maintain accurate clinical documentation Ensure compliance with facility and regulatory standards Monday to Friday (no weekends mentioned) Consistent 8-hour shifts Balanced inpatient workflow Requirements Must Have Active Missouri SLP License BLS Certification Experience in speech therapy (hospital or rehab preferred) Preferred Acute care experience Dysphagia / swallowing experience Travel experience Key Skills Speech & language evaluation Dysphagia management Clinical documentation Why This Assignment?
