About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to join its international team of experts in strategic communications, movement building, and public advocacy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's mission to support and amplify efforts in ocean and climate policy. This senior leadership position is responsible for connecting intention to action, owning the annual planning cycle, and ensuring that the organization's strategic priorities are effectively translated into actionable tasks. The Chief of Staff will also be instrumental in decision-making processes, particularly in guiding the leadership team, and will hold the line between the organization's mission and its funding pipeline. Applicants for the Chief of Staff role at the company should have a minimum of 6 years' experience in senior strategy, operations, or organizational leadership, with a proven track record in running planning cycles and holding senior teams accountable. The role requires a strong writer, comfortable producing a range of materials, and experience with governance and fundraising oversight. While a background in campaigning, NGO, or agency work is beneficial, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will be service-minded, team-oriented, and able to make trade-offs visible, holding the whole picture and writing to make things happen. The position demands a high level of commitment, including the willingness to work with a global team and the ability to manage a diverse set of responsibilities with a focus on the organization's mission.
