Transportation Services Representative 1 (Bilingual Spanish) (Multiple Positions)

Role Overview Transportation Services Representative 1 (Bilingual Spanish) – field services group, Mt. Hood region, Gresham. The role is to provide customer service at the DMV, assisting the public with driver license issuance, vehicle registration, permits, and related services. Responsibilities Assist the public with obtaining driver's licenses, registering vehicles, issuing permits and license plates. Administer knowledge, skill, vision, and behind‑the‑wheel drive tests for potential drivers. Ensure correct fees are collected and provide information on regulations and policies. Produce photo licenses, instruction permits, and identification cards. Conduct and interpret vision test results, perform vehicle physical examinations, and verify vehicle identification numbers. Prepare daily bank deposits and account for sensitive inventory. Occasionally perform relief work in other DMV offices within the region. Adhere to privacy laws and communicate clearly with customers from diverse backgrounds. Maintain typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with high accuracy. Qualifications Minimum two years of public contact/customer service experience dealing with the public in person or by phone. Experience/input data using computers. At least three months experience collecting money and making change. Associate’s degree (or completion of an associate’s degree) substitutes for one year of public contact experience.
