HR Business PartnerSt. Croix Health is looking for an HR Business Partner to join our team of dedicated HR professionals working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment! This full-time position (1.0FTE), will typically work Monday – Friday, day hours.This role is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership across the organization. The position formulates partnerships specific to the HR function, but inclusive of closely aligned people functions of education, organizational development, and process improvement, to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic and consultative partnershipsBuild a strategic partnership and relationship with dedicated internal leaders.Works closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentionProvides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planningGives feedback to leadership and uses the feedback to improve HR procedures and service; works closely with People/OD work partners in continuous improvement of People functions for the organization.Performance Management & Employee RelationsManage and resolve complex employee relations issuesConducts effective, thorough and objective investigationsProvides day-to-day performance management guidance by leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)Compliance and RegulatoryAnnual state and federal reportingMaintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory complianceEnsure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as requiredOrganization Policy and ProceduresProvides HR policy guidance and interpretationSuggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the People and Organizational Development umbrella of work and organization, and to improve employee experienceAssist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operationsRecruiting and OnboardingServes as subject matter expert in enterprise-wide people systems guided through the People/OD functionSupport overall recruitment process from start to finish, onboarding, off-boarding, and employee life cycle processesConducts pre-employment and recruitment screeningsPartner with leadership regarding recruitment strategiesData MetricsGather and analyze data in all HR related systems (HRIS, LMS, etc.)Identifies and analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the People/OD group to develop strategies, opportunities, solutions, programs and policiesParticipate in development of People/OD objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements* While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties from particular jobs and to assign other duties as necessary.RequirementsEducation & Licensure:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or closely related field with an HR or Organizational Development focus preferred; orAssociate's degree in Human Resources or closely related field with 8-10 years experience in Human Resources function;Professional HR Certification is preferredExperience:5-8 years of experience in advanced HR Practitioner role preferred.Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.Equivalent of education/experienceCompetencies:Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Supervisory Responsibilities:NonePhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerProlonged periods of standing, bending, and reachingSt. Croix Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
