About the Role:

Compacting Tooling Inc is looking for a skilled Toolmaker/Manual Machinist to join our team in McKeesport, PA! This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your precision machining expertise in a specialized manufacturing environment where quality craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
• Fabricate, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures to tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other metrology tools
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend design or process improvements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with shop standards
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet manufacturing requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker, Manual Machinist, or similar role in a precision manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of metals, tooling materials, and machining techniques
• High attention to detail with a commitment to tight tolerances and quality workmanship
• Apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative shop floor team
