Interventional Radiologist (2 Positions)

Position Overview Position: Interventional Radiologist (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor and Health Sciences Clinical Professor). This is a full‑time faculty position at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. Location: Sacramento, CA. Salary range: $425,000 to $525,000. Position Description Faculty members are expected to conduct meaningful research, provide patient care, teach trainees, and perform public and University service. A strong interest in research is required for the Clinical “X” Series, while excellent teaching is essential for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Faculty will have dedicated clinic time for ambulatory patients at the Vascular Center, supervise residents and medical students, participate in inpatient consult service, and engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards. Interventional procedures are performed in the hospital and in an upcoming ambulatory surgical and interventional center. Faculty are encouraged to secure extramural grant funding and may receive additional academic time. Responsibilities Provide patient care in interventional radiology, including vascular and non‑vascular procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings. Teach fellows, residents, and medical students. Conduct research and scholarly activities. Participate in public and University service. Supervise trainees and collaborate with vascular surgery and medicine. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application): M.D., D.O., or equivalent; licensed or eligible for full licensure in California; or meet eligibility for CA Special Permit. Additional qualifications (required at time of start): American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular & Interventional Radiology. Experience in providing patient care in all aspects of interventional radiology. Experience teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Experience and interest in clinical research. Ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment. Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated administrative leadership experience in multi‑disciplinary collaborations. Experience in collaborative research. Over two years of clinical experience (preferred but not required). Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $425,000 to $525,000. Additional call pay up to $40,000 annually and a Z bonus up to $20,000. Professional development includes an annual allotment for licenses and conferences.
