Hematology/Oncology Physician

Location: Bellflower, CA Setting: Outpatient Clinic Term: 6 Months (with option to extend) Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM5:00 PM Pay Rate: $540$545/hour

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time outpatient opportunity in Bellflower, CA, due to a provider vacancy and patient backlog. Offering a stable weekday schedule with no call responsibilities. The position focuses on caring for adult oncology and hematology patients in a collaborative outpatient clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology
• Active California medical license
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred but not required
• Candidates requiring California licensure are not eligible for this position

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care for adult oncology and hematology patients
• Manage a patient population consisting of approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology
• Diagnose and treat patients with solid tumors and hematologic disorders
• Manage chronic leukemia patients, including chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
• Perform bone marrow biopsies when appropriate (preferred but not required)
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits
• Document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to coordinate patient treatment plans
• No inpatient responsibilities or care of acute leukemia patients
