Legal Coordinator

Primary responsibilities include providing daily research and support to two supervisory attorneys, including maintaining and organizing the calendar, appealing property values, and data entry. Candidates should be organized, motivated, a self-starter, able to multitask, work well with others, have a strong work ethic, able to communicate with co-workers as well as with clients, by telephone, e‑mail and letter, and be professional in appearance and demeanor. This is an in‑office position with the hours of Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Duties may include but are not limited to: Providing daily support to two attorneys Heavy research Department billing Tracking appeal deadlines Appealing property values, which includes gathering and entering property values and tax rates into a database Preparing paperwork for appeal (i.e., form, cover letter, etc.) Coordinating hearings internally and working with various local officials to coordinate hearings all over the nation Reporting personal property tax values to various local governments, which includes filing the personal property rendition Managing our database of electronic client files Generating client reports as requested Answering and routing incoming phone calls Processing mail and incoming correspondence Appearance conscious Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Science or Business & Management preferred) – candidates that do not currently hold a bachelor’s degree will not be considered for this position Two years of office experience Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Desired Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Research Ability to multi-task and work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment Organized and detail‑oriented Self‑starter Strong interpersonal skills Financial or accounting background preferred.
