HR Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leave administration (FMLA), and total rewards. This role serves as a primary resource to employees, ensuring a high level of support and understanding of available benefits. You will make an impact in this role by: Benefits Administration & Employee Support Administer and support all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits Manage 401(k) retirement plan processes, including enrollments, contributions, and employee education Act as a primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, eligibility, and claims resolution Coordinate and support open enrollment, including employee communication, meetings, and enrollment tracking Support payroll processes related to benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, and benefit-related reporting Leave Management (FMLA & Disability) Administer FMLA and other leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations Coordinate with employees, managers, and third-party administrators to manage leave cases and documentation Track leave usage and ensure proper integration with payroll and benefit continuation Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, etc.) Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to benefits, compensation, and headcount Assist with audits, filings, and ongoing compliance requirements Employee Experience & Communication Develop and distribute clear, employee-friendly communications related to benefits and total rewards Conduct new hire orientations with a strong focus on benefits education and enrollment Partner with HR leadership to enhance benefit offerings and improve employee engagement Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field 3+ years of HR experience with a strong focus in benefits administration and leave management Working knowledge of FMLA, benefits programs, and HR compliance regulations Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity preferred) HYDAC offers employees a comprehensive medical/dental/vision plan, paid holidays, PTO, 401k with company matching, FSA account, short term disability and life insurance, and pet insurance.
