Details Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting Allocated to a designated campus but may float to the main campus or other units within the health system as needed based on facility needs Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00 Weekend coverage required as needed On-call required, including 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6-week period Holiday coverage required as part of on-call requirements Epic EMR experience preferred but not required Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required, pending license accepted if obtained before start BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required, though candidates with 1 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis Prior travel nursing experience preferred, ideally with 3 years of MS/Tele experience Community hospital experience preferred Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Must pass arrhythmia and medication competency tests on the first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed May be required to shave facial hair to pass an onsite respirator fit test Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible, as local candidates are not accepted All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application, as requests made after submission will not be considered Facility has an attendance policy for travelers; missing more than two shifts during the 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation Candidates who were previously permanent staff at this health system are not eligible to return as travelers Open to candidates seeking 48-hour weekly schedules This is a resource pool position with floating expected across multiple campuses within scope of practice American Traveler Job ID P-741506.
