Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

Job Responsibilities The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice. • Provide outpatient medical consultation services under physician supervision • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions for new and established patients • Conduct follow-up care and ongoing patient management • Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies • Prescribe medications and initiate specialty referrals as appropriate • Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours emergency phone calls • Administer and order medications and treatments Qualifications • Minimum 1-year clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Urgent Care required • Master's in Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant required • Current Licensed as Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant in Georgia required • Current board certification by AANP/ANCC (NPs) or NCCPA (PAs) required • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility to obtain preferred • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting
