PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER — Where Hard Work Meets Fresh Air! Do you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and seeing the results of your hard work every day? The City of Seagoville is looking for a dependable Park Maintenance Worker to help care for and maintain our city-owned parks and facilities. This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same—you’ll help keep our parks looking great and safe for families, children, and visitors to enjoy. Responsibilities Mowing, edging, trimming hedges, and pruning trees and damaged limbs Weeding shrubs, planting beds, and playground areas Collecting trash and debris before and after maintenance work Inspecting park facilities such as picnic tables, grills, benches, and playground equipment for damage Cleaning walkways and recreational areas Emptying trash receptacles Assisting other departments as needed Performing additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid Texas Driver’s License (Class B CDL preferred) Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in park or grounds maintenance preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals Ability to safely measure and mix chemicals Skill in the operation of hand tools and power equipment Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive physical tasks Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds Ability to climb, reach overhead, and operate maintenance equipment Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment Ability to see and hear clearly for safety awareness, including distinguishing equipment sounds such as bells, buzzers, beeps, horns, etc. Employees may be exposed to potentially hazardous mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards while performing job functions and while repairing vehicles and equipment Special Requirements Employees must work in seasonal temperatures and conditions year around May be required to respond to after-hours emergencies Application Process Applications may be submitted: By mail: Human Resources Department 702 N.
