Are you an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician who enjoys getting hands-on with complex equipment and solving technical problems?

We’re looking for a talented Engineering Technician / Electro-Mechanical Technician to join a highly technical engineering environment in Sugar Land, TX . In this role, you’ll work alongside engineers, technicians, and manufacturing teams to test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve sophisticated electro-mechanical equipment and downhole tools .

What You’ll Do

Your work will span engineering, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including:

• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment , electrical circuits, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
• Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes using a systematic troubleshooting approach.
• Set up and perform routine and non-routine equipment tests .
• Collect, organize, analyze, and document test data and prepare technical reports.
• Perform maintenance and testing on downhole tools and related equipment .
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic circuits, and technical drawings.
• Work closely with engineers and technicians on complex test setups and product development.
• Support Manufacturing in resolving product design and production issues.
• Review redlined production drawings and assist with manufacturing process audits.
• Prepare conceptual sketches, product layouts, and detailed part drawings.
• Prepare and plot pump and motor performance curves based on test and analytical data.
• Assist with building, modifying, assembling, and disassembling laboratory test units and field-test prototypes.
• Prepare test and fabrication requests and required project documentation.
• Maintain accurate engineering notebooks, test records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
• Use computer-based systems for equipment diagnostics, testing, operation, and maintenance.
• Learn and support wireline cable operations as part of your technical development.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician or in a closely related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of:
• • Electrical circuits and electronic troubleshooting
  • Hydraulic systems and hydraulic circuit troubleshooting
  • Mechanical maintenance and repair
  • Electro-mechanical equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn equipment diagnostic software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Preferred Experience

You’ll stand out if you have:

• Technical training or certification in electro-mechanical, electrical, mechanical, or industrial technology .
• Experience with wireline cable operations and maintenance .
• Oilfield, wireline, energy, or downhole tool experience.
• Experience with equipment testing and product development.
• Experience preparing technical reports and analyzing test data.
• Experience with pump and motor performance testing.
• Forklift certification — a plus, but not required .
