Larlham Landscape Construction Co. is looking for a skilled CDL A Certified Driver/Equipment Operator to join their team in Charlestown, RI. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in picking up and delivering high-quality landscape construction projects from start to finish. If you love operating heavy equipment and being out in the field, this is the opportunity for you! Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy construction and landscaping equipment including excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, and loaders
- Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites using a Class A commercial vehicle
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
- Assist with grading, excavation, and site preparation for landscape construction projects
- Follow project plans, site layouts, and supervisor instructions to meet project specifications
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies on and off the road
- Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required
- Proven experience operating heavy construction or landscaping equipment
- Clean driving record and compliance with DOT regulations
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and project specifications
- Strong attention to safety and detail in all field operations
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team-oriented work ethic
