Details Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, including LDRP and Mother/Baby settings Provides antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and couplet care Manages patient ratio of 1:3 Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:00-06:30) Option of 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend required Epic charting system experience required Floating to like units within scope required as needed, with brief orientation provided Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required BLS and NRP certifications required; STABLE certification preferred Minimum 1 year of L&D and couplet care/LDRP experience required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Skilled in newborn care, newborn assessment, and infant identification Skilled in assisting with vaginal delivery and recovering C-section patients Skilled in postpartum care, episiotomy/incisional care, and breastfeeding/lactation support Skilled in triage of obstetrical patients Experience with newborn hypoglycemia and phototherapy preferred Additional Information Assist with circumcision and post-op site assessment Support thermoregulation and phototherapy for newborns as needed First-time travelers will be considered for this role Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-743176.
