Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Required certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
- Previous experience working as a Teacher or Specialist for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with assistive technology, accommodations, and modifications
- Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Passion for empowering students of all abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support services to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies
- Liaise with families, staff, and service providers to advocate for student needs
- Implement assistive technology and augmentative communication tools
- Progress monitor student achievement and maintain accurate records
