Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Orange, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-acuity labor and delivery setting. Candidates are required to bring their California license on the first day. The position calls for experienced nurses with a minimum of 2 years in large hospital environments, adept at managing high-risk deliveries and sterile vaginal exams within a busy delivery unit.

Job Details:

• Position: Labor and Delivery RN
• Location: Orange, California
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced
• Required Qualifications: CA license, 2 years of experience in large hospital settings, experience with high-risk delivery, sterile vaginal exams, use of external fetal monitors, ability to circulate, perform cervical cerclage, assist with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries, manage magnesium sulfate therapy, recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and assist with cesarean sections.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in labor and delivery in a level I trauma hospital, familiarity with Epic EMR, strong patient management skills.
• Additional Information:
  • Must be able to float between facilities within the state of California.
  • Candidates must have a California license in hand and meet vaccination requirements.
  • Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day.
  • Call-offs are permitted once per pay period.
  • Facility reserves the right to call off once per pay period.
  • The facility has the ability to call off once every two weeks.
