Groundskeeper

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintains all trash receptacles in outdoor public areas, ensuring the area is clean and free of litter.
• Cleans outside public areas, sidewalks, and parking areas; picks up leaves and litter.
• Trims and prunes tree branches.
• Operates and maintains power lawn mower, sweepers, chainsaws, trimmers, scrubbers, power washers etc. Ensuring the equipment is clean and in proper working condition.
• Ensures all plant beds are free of weeds, dead flowers, etc.
• Operates snow removal equipment, if necessary.
• Maintains water features.
• Applies fertilizers and chemicals as instructed.
• Maintains and repair irrigation systems.
• May assist the Wastewater Treatment Operators with repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains spray fields and associated equipment.
• Assist other departments when needed.
• Adheres to Company, Departmental and safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Maintains superior communication via email and pass downs to entire department.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Grounds maintenance experience required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
