JOB SUMMARY The General Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of Foremen and craft personnel engaged in maintenance work on AES equipment in the shop and field. This position supervises personnel and ensures the implementation of project plans, specifications, and the AES safety culture. This position answers calls from 3rd party vendors and other AES/ASRC clients for repairs/rental needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations. Open to new processes and willing to learn. Plan, estimate, direct, and evaluate the work of shop foremen, leads, and craft personnel. Coordinate personnel schedules and monitor the level of work performed. Conduct shop audits to inspect work progress and ensure conformance with project specifications. Develop, update, and maintain safety procedures. Manages work orders, work order, shop flow, and reports. Supervise and provide guidance to craft personnel. Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures. Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Must be authorized to work in the U.S. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A valid (U.S issued) Driver\'s License is required. A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required. The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 2x2 rotation is required. At least five (5) years of experience working with heavy oilfield equipment such as but not limited to class-8 trucks and tractors is required. Proficient experience with diagnostic software programs Volvo Protech, Cummins Insite, and Caterpillar ET is required. Extensive troubleshooting and repair experience with power train, hydraulic, air and electrical systems is required. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Five (5) years of experience servicing and maintaining Kenworth and Peterbilt Tractors, Link Belt, 30 Ton - 150 Ton Grove Cranes, CAT D-8, and D-9 Dozers, 330B Excavators, 14 & 16H&M blades and vibratory Compactors, Hitachi Excavators, Genie and JLG Manlifts, Westmark Crude/Diesel Tankers, Westmark 100 BBL - 325 BBL, Vac-Trailers, Volvo L50, and L220 Loaders is preferred. Five (5) or more years of experience working in a construction or industrial setting, the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry, on the North Slope, and/or in an Arctic environment is preferred. Proficient experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is preferred. Proficient experience with Asset Works Fleet Maintenance Software is preferred. WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE While working on the North Slope of Alaska, lodging and meals are provided. Camps offer warm meals, options to grab a quick lunch or snack, and varying room arrangements. Wi-Fi is available in most facilities. Services vary by location and will be reviewed during on-site orientation.
