In this role, you will work within a Significant Support Needs classroom, guiding and supporting a small caseload of 9 students. Youll be an essential collaborator, working alongside three dedicated paraprofessionals to foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. Desired Experience & Qualifications: Active Special Education Teaching Licensure issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Solid experience working with high school students with significant support needs, preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities to partner with paraprofessionals, families, and school staff Creative, flexible approach when adapting lessons and supports to individual student goals Commitment to promoting educational equity and student empowerment Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student on your caseload Collaborate with paraprofessionals within the classroom to ensure consistent and effective support for all students Foster a positive, safe, and engaging classroom community using research-based strategies Communicate regularly with parents, specialists, and administrators to ensure student needs are being met Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports in compliance with district and state guidelines Experience a fulfilling school year shaping students academic and personal growth in a supportive environment.
