Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant | Family Medicine

Location: Pipestone Family Clinic, United States. Worker Type: Regular. Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on-call involvement. Overview Provide appropriate medical care to all patients by assessing physical, psychological and social dimensions and developing a plan of care. Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per medical staff approved protocol. Provide medical services and health education to patients and family members. Contribute to health education of individuals and groups, applying methods to increase motivation for self‑care. Consult and collaborate with physician during assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per written protocols and licensing authorities. Interpret diagnostic information and consult physician regarding abnormal findings to establish care plan. Ensure appropriate referrals for patients. Demonstrate appropriate health, safety, and aseptic practices and react to environmental safety factors. Provide patient instruction related to environment of care and safety standards. Contribute to development and attainment of physician practice goals. Practice according to written protocols and apply and support practice policies. Maintain patient records and accurate information. Qualifications Licensed and qualified Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice; certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Valid Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration. Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Registered Nurse (RN) license if designated; active nursing license in state of practice. Ability to work the required hours and perform essential job functions, including adequate visual acuity, hearing, communication, and speech comprehension.
