JOB OVERVIEW
•Job Title: Medical Oncologist
•Job Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
•Location: Mountain Home, AR
•Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Cancer Center
•Clinical Shift Schedule: Weekday clinic and hospital responsibilities
•On-Call Shift Schedule: 1:4 call rotation
•Call Response Time: As required for inpatient oncology needs

PATIENT INFORMATION
•Patient Demographics: Adults with cancer diagnoses
•Patient Volume/Census: Varies
•Case Mix: General medical oncology and hematology

FACILITY INFORMATION
•On-Site Services:

- Laboratory

- Imaging (CT, PET, X-Ray, Ultrasound)

- On-site Pharmacy

- Infusion Services

- Radiation Oncology
•Support Staff Available: 1 Physician and 1 APP

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
•Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
•Diagnosis and management of cancer and hematologic disorders
•Administration of chemotherapy and other systemic therapies
•Coordination with infusion and radiation oncology teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Licenses: Arkansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
•Certifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
•Experience: Preferred but open to new graduates
•Other Qualifications:

- Excellent multidisciplinary collaboration skills

- Commitment to compassionate and evidence-based cancer care

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide outpatient and inpatient oncology services
•Collaborate with infusion, radiation, pharmacy, and imaging teams
•Participate in call rotation (1:4)
•Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives in cancer care
•Contribute to program growth and community outreach at Baxter Health
