About the Position

Job Title: Level 4 RN - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8.0 Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of RN OR experience - Travel experience required License: - Current RN license Certifications: - BLS - ACLS Must-Have: - Candidate must complete approximately 70 Net Learning modules and pass ECG/Medication exam with a score of 80% or higher within one week of acceptance. Description: A professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and teaching. Utilizes the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. Demonstrates the ability to develop a plan of care with goals and outcomes based on assessment data. Incorporates therapeutic relationships with patients and their families in care delivery. Acts as a liaison between physicians, patients, families, and collaborates with other healthcare members. May participate in health center and department committees. Takes formal responsibility for teaching and professional development of others. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups. Responsibilities/Expectations: Conducts a comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessment of the patient according to established standards. Directs the establishment of a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data, communicating this plan appropriately. Implements and evaluates the plan of care based on identified patient goals and intended outcomes. Modifies the plan of care based on reassessment of the patient’s status. Completes all documentation according to established standards. Assesses the readiness of the patient and significant others to learn. Implements the individualized education plan according to identified needs. Actively leads in nursing department or unit-based initiatives, including in-service opportunities. Provides age-appropriate care for the specific population served. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Strives to provide all customers with an excellent service experience by demonstrating the highest standards of performance.
