Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Pediatric Nephrologist to become part of our esteemed and expanding team.

The Division of Nephrology is recognized nationally by U.S. News & World Report and stands as the largest pediatric nephrology program in the Southwest. Our multidisciplinary team comprises board-certified pediatric nephrologists and advanced practice providers who deliver comprehensive care both in inpatient and outpatient settings throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and across Arizona via a broad network of outreach clinics.

This division operates within one of the largest freestanding pediatric healthcare systems in the country, which includes a flagship hospital with 484 beds, featuring 153 intensive care beds across the PICU, CVICU, and NICU. Our facility is home to Arizona's sole dedicated pediatric dialysis center, providing both inpatient and outpatient hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and a thorough Continuous Kidney Replacement Therapy (CKRT) program. Additionally, we offer the only dedicated Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program in Arizona, delivering multidisciplinary care for children facing complex kidney diseases.

Education and Academic Opportunities

In 2025, we launched our ACGME-accredited Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Program, underscoring our commitment to enhancing pediatric nephrology education and training. Our physicians hold academic positions with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, and Creighton University School of Medicine, with opportunities to engage in clinical, translational, and outcomes research.

Position Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

• An MD or DO degree

• Board Certification in Pediatrics

• Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Pediatric Nephrology

• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Arizona

• A dedication to providing outstanding patient-centered care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• A keen interest in teaching, quality improvement, clinical research, and program development is encouraged
