Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner

Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30)

Experience: 1 year

License: Pending license okay with submission; must be in-hand prior to start

Certifications: BLS, RRT; NRP*, PALS*, ACLS*

Must-Have: 2 years of experience

Description:
RRT position available for night shifts (3x12).
The patient ratio experience is 1:12-16.
Required certifications include BLS and RRT.
One year of experience is required.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Scrubs of any color are acceptable.
Requests for time off are limited to 2 per contract.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is required.
Community hospital experience is preferred.
Long-term acute care experience is preferred.
Experience in trauma level I and II settings is preferred.
Candidates should have skills in adult critical care and emergency department practices.
Tasks include endotracheal intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care.
Familiarity with various respiratory therapies and equipment is essential.
The unit serves a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census includes approximately 270 patients.
The unit collaborates with various interdisciplinary teams.
Common patient diagnoses include COPD, asthma, neurological conditions, respiratory distress, Covid, and influenza.
Special procedures and equipment support a wide range of critical care needs.
