Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Care Managers! Job Description:
- Work Schedule: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30 PST)
- Equipment Provided: Laptop, keyboard, and mouse
- License Requirement: Must possess a valid CA license
- Required Experience:
- 3 years of previous Charge Experience
- Experience with Epic charting system (recent use within the last 6-12 months)
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations and processes (2MN rule and more)
- Proven Utilization Management experience in an acute hospital setting
- Role Overview:
- Support a variety of service lines and levels of care (inpatient, outpatient, OBS)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage adult and pediatric patients with diverse diagnoses
- Conduct concurrent reviews, medical necessity determinations, and continued stay reviews
- Execute effective care coordination and benefits eligibility assessments
- Special Skills Required:
- Familiarity with InterQual Criteria
- CPT coding and billing knowledge
- Understanding of CMS guidelines and HIPAA compliance - Unit Details:
- 100% remote work environment
- Rotation between four facilities
- Every other weekend commitment required
- Additional Information:
- Must comply with all CA labor laws regarding breaks and lunches
- Strong emphasis on flexibility and teamwork
