This role requires maintaining a strong understanding of emerging technologies, scientific theories, and industry trends to contribute to forward-looking research and potential product development.Key Responsibilities* Conduct laboratory-based research and experimentation to support scientific studies and innovation efforts.* Execute scientific studies and analyze results to inform research direction and technical decisions.* Apply scientific principles and concepts to explore potential inventions, technologies, and products—often years in advance of formal product development.* Stay current with advancements in scientific literature, industry developments, academic research, and technical conferences.* Provide expert insight on the application of scientific theories and methodologies.* Contribute to the development of intellectual property, including research findings and potential innovations.### Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Physics from an accredited institution.* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a related field.* A Master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.* In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted (total of 6 years required).* Strong understanding of scientific research methods and analytical techniques.* Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and scientific advancements.The Swift Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
