Commercial Cleaning Sales Executive

ServiceMaster Chesapeake is seeking a driven Commercial Cleaning Sales Executive to develop new commercial accounts throughout our Maryland service territory. This is a true business-to-business sales position for someone who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, conducting facility walkthroughs, developing opportunities, and closing new business. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience selling commercial services to property managers, facility managers, general contractors, healthcare organizations, industrial facilities, educational institutions, commercial real estate organizations, and other business decisionmakers. Experience selling commercial cleaning services is helpful but not required. Successful candidates may come from facility services, HVAC, security, pest control, landscaping, restoration, flooring, building services, property services, or other relationship-driven B2B industries.

ServiceMaster Chesapeake provides commercial facility services including recurring commercial janitorial services, post-construction cleaning, floor stripping, finishing, and maintenance, carpet cleaning, specialty cleaning projects, disinfection and healthcare-related cleaning, industrial and warehouse cleaning, and commercial facility cleaning solutions. You'll have the opportunity to develop both recurring contracts and project-based business.

Your primary responsibility is simple: develop profitable new business. You will prospect for new commercial customers, identify and contact key decision-makers, develop relationships with property and facility managers, generate qualified sales appointments, conduct facility walkthroughs, identify customer needs and service opportunities, work with operations and management to develop competitive proposals, present proposals and close new business, develop referral and strategic-partner relationships, participate in networking and business-development events, maintain an active sales pipeline, track prospects, activities, proposals, and follow-ups in our CRM, follow opportunities from initial contact through contract award, and maintain relationships with new customers during the transition to operations.

This position is focused on sellingnot performing cleaning services or routine accounting/administrative work. Compensation We believe strong sales performance should be rewarded. This position offers a competitive base salary, uncapped commission opportunity, commission based on profitable new business generated, opportunities to earn commission on recurring janitorial contracts and specialty/project work, and additional earning potential for strong performance. Target first-year total compensation: $70,000$100,000+ based on performance. High-performing sales professionals who consistently develop and close significant commercial business have the opportunity to earn more.

Our ideal candidate is a hunter who enjoys developing new relationships rather than simply managing existing accounts. You should be comfortable making outbound calls, prospecting independently, walking into businesses and introducing yourself, networking with commercial decision-makers, developing referral relationships, conducting facility walkthroughs, following up consistently, asking for the business, managing a sales pipeline, and working toward measurable revenue and profitability goals.

Preferred Qualifications include 2+ years of B2B sales or business-development experience preferred, demonstrated ability to prospect and develop new business, commercial cleaning or facility-services experience is a plus, existing relationships with property managers, facility managers, general contractors, or commercial real estate professionals are highly valued, strong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation and relationship-building skills, ability to work independently and manage a territory, comfortable using CRM and sales-tracking technology, and valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Candidates with strong B2B sales ability from adjacent industries are encouraged to apply even without commercial cleaning experience.
