MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist will perform advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures using Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T and GE SIGNA HDE 1.5T equipment in a short-term acute care, level II trauma hospital setting. The role involves conducting diagnostic imaging to assist in radiology and cardiology patient care, ensuring high-quality images, adhering to safety protocols, and utilizing EPIC for documentation. The position requires flexibility in scheduling with rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols using Siemens and GE MRI systems.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Document all procedures and patient information accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
• Respond to on-call duties as scheduled, providing MRI services during night shifts.
• Maintain knowledge of current MRI technology and participate in ongoing training and certification maintenance.

• ARRT certification in MRI technology.
• Proven experience with Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T and GE SIGNA HDE 1.5T MRI systems.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Valid licensure and credentials as required by state and hospital regulations.

• Experience in both radiology and cardiology MRI applications.
• Familiarity with trauma and acute care hospital environments.
• Additional certifications related to MRI safety and advanced imaging techniques.

• On-call requirement: one night per week from 9 PM to 6 AM.
• Must have prior EPIC experience; candidates without EPIC experience will not be considered.
• Position floats between units is not required.
• Hospital is a Level II Trauma center with short-term acute care focus.
• Compliance with hospital scrub color policies and sterile unit protocols.

• Work schedule options include either 7 days on followed by 7 days off or 8 days on followed by 6 days off.
• Weekday shifts run from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM; weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Alternative schedule includes working Wednesday through Saturday and then Sunday through Wednesday with six days off.
• Block schedules and 48-hour workweeks are not approved.
• Weekend work is not mandatory but may be part of the assigned schedule.
