Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Senior Counsel in Costa Mesa, CA. This role requires an active bar license in the State of California and offers an opportunity to lead high-exposure cases within a dynamic and inclusive environment. Duties Develop compelling case themes to counter plaintiff strategies. Independently manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials. Collaborate with team members across various experience levels. Maintain routine communications with clients. Foster relationships with current and prospective clients. Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced attorneys. Requirements JD from an ABA-approved school. Active California bar license. 8+ years of litigation experience, including deposition and trial preparation. Experience in insurance defense matters preferred. Proficiency in MS Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong time management and independent decision-making skills. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Education JD from an ABA-approved school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in California. Skills Strategic thinking and courtroom presence. Leadership and mentoring abilities. Ability to manage complex cases independently.
