About the Role

Green Bean Baby Boutique is a locally owned baby and children’s boutique offering clothing, gifts, toys, baby gear, and essentials. We are looking for an experienced retail leader who enjoys being present on the sales floor, helping customers, and keeping the details of the store moving.

As Retail Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Store Owner and lead day-to-day operations. You should be comfortable working independently and managing the store when the owner is away. You will set daily priorities, coach and support staff, and follow through so the sales floor, stockroom, and online orders stay organized and on track. Strong communication is essential: keep the owner informed about staffing, customer, inventory, and operational needs.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the sales floor and manage daily operations independently when the owner is away.

• Set daily priorities, coach staff, and train team members on customer service, products, and store procedures.

• Help families and gift-givers choose baby gear, clothing, toys, and gifts with knowledgeable, personalized guidance.

• Receive shipments accurately, verify quantities, tag merchandise, and move new arrivals onto the sales floor promptly.

• Use Shopify POS accurately, handle register procedures responsibly, maintain accurate in-store and online inventory, and investigate stock discrepancies.

• Keep displays fresh, merchandise stocked, and the sales floor and stockroom organized.

• Pick, pack, and prepare online orders accurately for pickup or shipment.

• Open and close as assigned, resolve customer concerns, and keep the owner informed while following operational details through to completion.

Experience

Previous retail experience is required. Previous key-holder, supervisor, lead, or management experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving merchandise throughout the store. Candidates should be comfortable lifting and moving boxes, displays, baby gear, strollers, car seats, and other merchandise weighing approximately 30–50 pounds when needed.

Why Join Green Bean?

You’ll have a meaningful, hands-on leadership role in a growing local business, with the opportunity to strengthen customer service, team performance, merchandising, and store operations. We’re looking for someone dependable, organized, and ready to treat the store with care.
