Heavy Equipment MechanicThe Martin Marietta Upper Midwest Region is looking for a versatile Heavy Equipment Mechanic based out of our Maple Grove Maintenance Facility. This position will perform mechanical repairs on diesel powered mobile equipment as well as aggregate and asphalt plant equipment (loaders, dozers, crushers, conveyors, etc.). Responsibilities include trouble shooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment. This job operates 100% of the time in a surface mine setting or shop setting. This role will be based out of the maintenance facility in Maple Grove and will provide support to all Minnesota locations as needed.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
