Summary Job Description: Seeking Unit Secretary Baptist Health Floyd, Progressive Care Unit Part-time (24 Hours Weekly), Mid-Shift (8:30am-9pm) Benefit Eligible Job Duties: We are seeking a Unit Secretary who under general supervision and according to established procedures functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. About the Unit: The Progressive Care Unit, also known as PCU, is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. While the unit specializes in cardiovascular care nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, sepsis, etc. While working closely with an interdisciplinary team, nurses provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. PCU is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures. Qualifications: Previous unit secretary experience preferred. High school diploma/equivalent preferred, not required. We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
