Please see attachment below for complete description.Job Title: HVAC Chiller Mechanic Wage/Hour Status: Non-ExemptReports to: Physical Plant Manager Pay Grade: AUX7 Dept./School: Physical Plant Operations Date Revised: 10/2025Primary Purpose Responsible to assist with the troubleshooting and repairing heating and air conditioning equipment for the district's campuses and offices and ensuring their safe and efficient operation.Minimum QualificationsEducation/CertificationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency)Current Heating and Air Conditioning Master License with the City of San Antonio or a State License Class A or Class BCFC Universal CertifiedValid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record and must meet and maintain liability coverage eligibilityVocational Training, preferredApplicant must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Repair all types of heating and air condition units to include Chillers, package units, split system units, reciprocating units, Boilers, and window units. 2. Assist other technicians in the overhaul of HVAC units. 3. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC, Chillers, boilers, and boiler room related equipment. 4. Conduct equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, and reporting. 5. Complete internal & external maintenance and inspections of boilers, burners, boiler rooms, steam, hot water boilers and associated controls using natural gas, and propane. 6. Perform preventive equipment maintenance on HVAC, Chillers, and Boilers. 7. Provide clear, accurate, customer-focused verbal & written communication. 8. Deliver top quality service in a timely, efficient, & customer-focused manner. 9. Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory safety, standards, and protocols. 10. Monitor heating and air conditioning meters to ensure the efficient and proper operation of heating and air conditioning units. 11. Demonstrates quality workmanship 12.
