Material Handler


Perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, and supplies. Accurately enter data into the computer system. Knowledge of basic operation of computers, scanners, copiers and printers.


Nature of Duties:

• Receiving shipments and signing paperwork upon receipt
• Unloading packages from incoming trucks
• Attention to detail
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.)
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
• Collect data and enter into Oracle
• Internal E-mails
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend for long periods of time
• Duty as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Accuracy with numbers
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Overtime as required

Material Handler : Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. This job may be known as shipping, receiving, pick-packs, or stores clerks.
