Your Role as an Occupational Therapist:

  • Develop Personalized Treatment Plans: Assess each patient's unique needs and create customized therapy plans to help them reach their personal functional goals.
  • Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Apply evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients' physical abilities, motor skills, cognition, and overall quality of life.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Partner with other OTRs, doctors, physical therapists, speech therapists, and healthcare teams to provide holistic care for each patient.
  • Support Patients and Their Families: Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and strategies to maintain progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and Adjust Treatment Plans: Regularly evaluate patients' progress and modify therapy plans to ensure the best outcomes for recovery.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
  • New grads are welcome to apply!
  • Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is helpful but not mandatory
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tailor treatment strategies to individual needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to manage therapy plans in a fast-paced or rural environment, ensuring each patient gets personalized care
